But after I started baking my very own bread I started to use it to pre-slice the loaves for sandwiches and toast. Unfortunately the lip on the beneathside of the slicer slot protrudes rather, more than likely to ease the slice away from the desktop. With bread, though, it causes it to catch within the opening between the blade and the again, and I have to readjust the thickness dial to the maximum as a technique to get rid of every slice. Often it tears the slice anyway. Not a particularly useful function. I'm no longer positive if some other slicer would work higher, but this one is actually frustrating.
